Eve had never looked so damn cute. You did a great job with her and hopefully you're inspired for more later on. There isn't enough love for Parasite Eve and I gush easily about it. I should give it more attention as well seeing how it was such a major mark of what was cool to me while growing up.
There's a very small part of me that would hope they would remake it someday to bring back some love and awesome new graphics, but it just wouldnt be the same anymore. I'd fear how it would be handled and then regret wanting it.
I just recently got into Parasite Eve, I was bored and someone just randomly pitched me a PS1 double disc copy of the game that was missing the 3rd bonus disc with the FF preview so I decided why not play it? I'm currently stuck at the boss fight with Eve on Day 5
Angel, this is so cute. I can't even begin to express how absolutely perfect this is! I'm so grateful to you for promoting my group and showing so much love for Eve like I do. I honestly thought that I was the only one who really cared much for her until' I met you. Thank you!
I know what you mean. It's been rare to find those who really appreciate this old game and it's very pixelated characters. Gotta look past all that, ignore the flash and shine or modern games and see this game for a masterpiece it is.
I was trying to think of a better quote tho. I like so many of them. I wonder what it would have been like had this been voice acted. I mean I know it's old but they did it in Silent Hill. It would have been interesting.
Parasite Eve really was a masterpiece and still holds up to this day. It just has a charm and style that no other games have, and the overall effort that went into its creation is very commendable. Leave it to Squaresoft/Square Enix to make such an amazing game. Plus, all the other Parasite Eve material is very unique.
Eve has so many awesome quotes. Personally, I like the bits where she gets a bit snarky with Aya, if that makes sense. Such as when Aya confronts her at Lady Liberty and when Aya tells Eve that her mitochondria will end up evolving to defeat Eve once and for all, Eve basically says 'Gotta' love that sense of humor of yours'. Eve is a lady of both sass and class. Hehe.
I would've loved to hear a voice-acted Eve. I always imagined her voice being sorta' deep and husky. However, from the other people who've wanted to see something similar, a lot of them said they think she'd sound really high-pitched! I can't really see Eve having such a high-pitched voice other than her singing. I've seen some fandubs of Parasite Eve on YouTube, and this one is pretty well done: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FS62dk…
Hahaha I've never seen this before. Thanks for sharing. I gotta watch it now..well as long as I can stay up.
Hummm I think I'd agree with you. I could see her having a deep rich husky voice. Maybe a lil higher when she laughed. But this isn't bad at all for Eve. I think Aya's might be a bit off, just in my opinion, but it's pretty decent.
I may have to get back with you about the rest of the voice dubbing on this after I finish it. Or until sleep takes me over.
You're welcome. I'm glad I thought about it or else I may not have shared it with you. Yeah, Eve's laugh is pretty high-pitched in that one cutscene with her destroying that piano... She must have a deep hatred for pianos, I guess. Just demonstrating her power to Aya, I suppose. But anyway, I liked Eve's voice in this fandub because they made her voice sound reasonably deep without making it too deep. They also added that really neat echoing effect, which is also something I imagined about Eve. For whatever reason, I like to think that she sometimes speaks with telepathy or something. Aya's voice sounds a little too deep for me, though. I always thought of her having a softer tone to contrast with Eve's. But, hey, that's just me.
